Header and Footer templates

Any text file may be appended as a header or footer. Templates may include placeholders that cause LegalWriter to prompt the user for information such as section number, township, user's name, etc., much in the same way that attributes work in AutoCAD. It is even possible to preset default values. Codes may be placed in the template to automatically insert information such as area, perimeter, date, time and file name. Eventually you will have a library of templates for such things as utility easements and parcel descriptions that may be referenced as needed.

Curve Template

Curve descriptions are modeled after a text file containing language of your choosing. Arc measurements may be included by placing the corresponding code in its place. Supported codes are:

radius of curve
arc length
cardinal direction
tangent length
chord bearing
chord length
direction of curvature
bearing of tangent into curve
bearing of tangent out of curve
bearing of radial into curve
bearing of radial out of curve
included (delta) angle

Build Description

Descriptions may be created by selecting an existing LWPOLYLINE, or by selecting a point within any closed boundary. In either case you will be prompted for file name and location, point of beginning, direction of description and point of ending.

Preferences

All text within the body of the legal description may be formatted to your company's standards.
